I was born in 1967 and in the early 90's I started diving. I finished my PADI Open Water Diver course in Egypt, followed by continuing education in Kenya, Germany, the Netherlands and Thailand. I dived in the Red Sea, in the Mediterranean, in Asia, in Africa - and also in German waters. From diving in the crystal clear tropical waters to drysuit diving in wintertime German lakes - the main thing was always to be under water.
I became a PADI professional followed by years of teaching and diving. I had the opportunity to gain experiences as instructor, shop-owner and dive operation manager and I learned a lot about the business of diving in Germany, on the islands of Mallorca and Menorca and in Asia.
Today I am PADI Course
Director, EFR Instructor Trainer, Specialty Instructor Trainer and DSAT Gasblender Instructor Trainer.
After I sold my divecenter in Phuket I moved back to Germany, from where I now organize my Instructor programs. This is something very beneficial for you: For example instead of writing dozens of emails we can meet or at least talk on the phone during your preperation for your PADI IDC. And I think you can call my teaching style something between German Efficiency and tropical Easy Going which might be a benifit as well...
I believe in con ed and I train myself further and try to remain always up to date regarding PADI standards, course organization and training matters. For example I was the first German PADI Course Director who integrated Rescue training in confined water IDC sessions together with PADI Course Director Chris Owen in Phuket. And when I do not run Instructor programs, I still work as a dive instructor for different divecenters. So I never loose the contact to the “real world” and you will benefit from this experience when you do your PADI IDC with me.
